Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris did not waste a minute after landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Passaris told off Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko for editing a previously recorded phone conversations she had with him, with the intention of soiling her name. (Her Twitter account is @EstherPassaris
She referenced a political meeting that was months back held at a Nairobi Hotel, and while there, she spoke with Sonko on phone and told him that she had just checked in.
Unawares, Sonko was recording the telephone conversations and would use it later would use the phone conversation to soil her name.
Passaris said she would face the Governor in court alleging that he edited the phone conversation to soil her name.
She would not let the Governor get away with such alleged lies that were tainting her reputation as a mother and leader.
A seemingly angry Passaris reminded the public that she was a mother, and her children would be hurt by such fabricated stories.
She also stated that she was the women representative of Nairobi County, representing women, and attacking her, falsely, was attacking the women of the county too.
Sonko has had a history of recording telephone conversations, especially with the ‘who-is-who’ in the country, and releasing them at opportune times.
Sonko even once called President Uhuru Kenyatta when media cameras were rolling to the shock of the President.
He also released a phone call conversation with the Governor of Kiambu Ferdinand Waititu.
