Most Kenyans do not know that Ms. Mukiri was the pillar behind the success of the first Global MICE Summit held in Kenya. The Summit brought together investors, stakeholders and provided a platform for like-minded players in the meetings and event industry to exhibit products and services to a target audience.
The Summit defines a unified focus and direction for the Global Meetings Industry and a platform that enables cross-functional collaboration and gives the right skills to deliver towards a sustainable, people inclusive and tech adoptive MICE Industry.
The Global MICE Summit for 2019 will be held for three days, September 11-13, at the Trademark Hotel.
Ms. Mukiri continues to innovate and implement sustainable solutions towards the advancement and development of the events industry, enthusiastically.
She is also the Founder of Ignite Africa Trade, OWIT Nairobi (Vice –President of Programs), and a Mandela Washington Fellow amongst other accolades.
She has created employment through intentionally hiring and mentoring the youth, in keeping to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of decent work and economic growth.
She aims to help companies express their brand strategies using events as a platform to boost the local tourism industry.
The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife ranks Kenya as the 3rd largest tourism economy in Sub-Saharan Africa, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) are a major contributor to a country’s economy and growth of the industry.
