Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa members prayed for the success of world marathoner Eliud Kipchoge as he tackles the Vienna 1.59 challenge.
Led by Elgeyo Marakwet Women representative Jane Chebaibai, the women leaders lifted their hands to God and committed the athlete to His guidance.
34-year-old Kipchoge will become the first human being in the history of mankind to run 42KM in under two hours or exactly two hours at an average speed of 5.8KM/h.
Kipchoge is the current world record holder in running 42KMs at a time of 2.01.39 in Berlin on September 16, 2018.
The women leaders were gathered at the Olkalao Catholic Church grounds where they made food donations to a children’s home, gave salon equipment, bodaboda safety wear, sausage selling motorable, water storage tanks, gas cylinders, and sufurias among others.
The Nyandarua women representative Faith Gitau also led trainees in cooking and baking launch their own Sacco where they received a deposit of Sh550,000.
