Sarah Cheruiyot, mother to UDA Presidential Nominee William Ruto, arrived at the Bomas of Kenya at 4.00pm on August 15, 2022 to witness if his son would be declared as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.
The meeting at Bomas was following the venue being the final tallying centre of the Presidential votes by the IEBC in the Elections 2022.
Ruto was vying under the Kenya Kwanza Coalition, with his Deputy Presidential Nominee Rigathi Gachagua.
Other contestants in the Presidential Race were Raila Odinga and his deputy Martha Karua under the Azimio Coalition, Agano Party Waihiga Mwaure and Roots Party George Wajackoya.
