Wanjiku Muhia, MP Kipipiri, says she will vote NO during the impeachment motion of DP Rigathi Gachagua on 1st October 2024

Kipipiri MP, Wanjiku Muhia, distanced herself and her constituency from the impeachment attempts of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The MP updated her social media hours to the tabling of the impeachment motion in Parliament and stated categorically that she would vote NO.

She wrote, “Kipipiri will vote NO!! to the impeachment motion.”

The MP said she had listened to the residents of her constituency who were not in support of the removal of DP Rigathi from office.

“The ground has been loud and clear, therefore, allow me to categorically state that the people of Kipipiri and I will not be party to the impeachment of the Deputy President H.E. Rigathii Gachagua, EGH.

Kenyans are waiting for the afternoon session at Parliament to see the positions their elected leaders will take in the highly publicised impeachment motion of the second in command.
