Former volleyball player Wanja dies of cancer

Janet Wanja was born in 1985 in Kenya. She has represented the Kenyan national volleyball team in numerous international competitions. She started her professional career playing for the Kenyan club Kenya Pipeline Company, where she played for several years before moving to play for clubs in Europe. Wanja has been a key player for the Kenyan national team, helping lead the team to success in various African champions and qualifiers for major international tournaments.

Wanja has received numerous accolades and awards throughout her career, including being the most valuable player in various tournaments and competitions.

The volleyball star had been battling gallbladder cancer for about four months but later passed away on December 27, 2024.

Janet Wanja will remain one of the most respected and beloved volleyball player in Kenya.
