This comes just days after her appointment by President William Ruto on Friday, January 17, 2025, as the Kenya Roads Board.
The Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) has vehemently opposed the appointment of former CS Aisha Jumwa as the Chairperson of the Kenya Roads Board (KRB), arguing that it contravenes the Kenya Roads Board Act No. 7 of 1999 (Rev. 2023).
IEK pointed out that Jumwa does not represent any of the organizations listed in the Act’s First Schedule and has called for her immediate removal in favour of a chairperson with the required engineering expertise to lead the Board.
