Kitale magistrate Dorothy Muoma
Kitale magistrate Dorothy Muoma

Dorothy Muoma, a former magistrate in Kitale, sadly ended up living on the streets after struggling with mental illness.

She was once suspended from her job and left the courtroom hoping she would return, but she was later dismissed. After losing her job, her life became very difficult. She lost her home and cars, and her property was sold to pay debts.

Many people she trusted, including friends, colleagues, and even relatives, distanced themselves. Feeling alone and unsupported, she fell into deep depression. With nowhere else to go, she lived on the streets, often seen talking to herself and acting in distress. Sadly, Dorothy Muoma later lost her life. She was buried yesterday.
