The High Court of Kenya in Nyeri has sentenced Nicholas Julius Macharia to death over the murder of baby Tamara Blessing Kabura.
According to the court, Macharia lured the young girl as she was leaving a salon. He killed her and hid her body under a bed inside his house in the Majengo area. The child was also reportedly assaulted.
Justice Kizito Magare ruled that the prosecution had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Tamara had earlier been reported missing before her body was found buried inside the suspect’s house. Police arrested Macharia, and the child’s body was taken for a postmortem examination.
