The four most powerful women in the powerful Kenyatta family stepped out in style to mark the 41st anniversary since the death of Kenya’s Founding Father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. They laid flower wreaths at the mausoleum of the First President of Kenya next to Parliament in Nairobi, and also held a mass at the Holy Family Minor Basilica.

The family decided that this year’s commemoration of Mzee is the last such public event.

  • Beth Mugo, Nominated Senator and Cousin to President Uhuru Kenyatta (in blue hat), and Christine Wambui Pratt, Sister to President Uhuru Kenyatta (in black).

 

President Uhuru Kenyatta is the fourth President of Kenya. The Father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta was the First President of Kenya.
