A long day in Mombasa for Ruth Odinga as she stood among four NEC members who opposed the decision to remove Edwin Sifuna.
According to The Star newspaper, Vice Chairman Otiende Amollo, Treasurer Timothy Bosire, Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga, and another member identified as Mike voted against the move. When the matter was put to a vote, 25 members supported Sifuna’s removal, while only four voted against it.
Sources said the four leaders had asked for Sifuna to be given a chance to respond before any decision was made. However, their request was dismissed, and Ruth Odinga was allegedly shouted down as she tried to defend that position.
