Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has suffered a major setback after the Milimani High Court J udge Justice Mwamuye upheld the Senate’s decision to remove her from office.
While delivering its ruling, the court states that the Senate acted in accordance with the Constitution during Mwangaza’s impeachment process.
The court dismissed her claims that the process was marred by chaos, ruling that she had failed to substantiate these allegations.Her Deputy Rev M’Ethingia is set to assume the Governor’s office.
