A family in Kisii is in shock after a domestic dispute ended in a deadly house fire.
According to reports, the couple had been having long-standing marital problems. On Sunday, the husband allegedly bought petrol, saying it was meant to kill bedbugs.

Yesterday morning, he reportedly sent the house help to a nearby shop. Soon after, their house went up in flames when the petrol caught fire, which then triggered the gas cylinder to explode.
The wife, Esther Ghati, was trapped inside her bedroom, which was said to have been locked from the outside. Sadly, she was unable to escape and died on the spot.
The husband suffered serious burns and is now fighting for his life in the ICU.

Police have launched investigations to find out if the fire was an accident or if it was connected to the couple’s domestic problems.
🕊️ May Esther Ghati’s soul rest in peace.
