Josiah Njeru , Man held in connection of the late gospel artist Rachel Wandeto death has been arrested by DCI homicide unit officers as key suspect in the death probe.

Detectives arrested Josiah in Kasarani and are expected to arraign him in court as the investigation continues.
Wandeto was attacked on May 16 near 11th Street, Obama Road in Mwiki, where she was allegedly assaulted, doused with a flammable substance and set ablaze. She later died at Kenyatta National Hospital on May 18 after suffering burns covering about 75 percent of her body

Detectives are continuing to examine a possible financial link as part of the broader inquiry into what may have led to the incident.
“It appears there are suggestions that she may have been perceived to have received money in connection with her political activities. We are also looking into possible personal disagreements involving individuals who knew her,” an Investigator said .
Investigators indicate Josiah had previously transported Wandeto to various locations where she is understood to have received money on different occasions.
The political tattoo angle that initially dominated public discussion is not being treated as the motive. Detectives are also reportedly investigating claims of personal grudges and a possible relationship or love-triangle angle involving the suspect.
