The family of Rose Muthoni, a young Juja mother, is in deep mourning after what relatives describe as a brutal domestic attack that claimed her life. Hours after she had spoken warmly with her mother on the phone, she was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband in their Juja home on the night of Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Family members say Muthoni’s househelp, Tracy, witnessed the attack when she entered the kitchen to fetch a knife, saw the husband allegedly assaulting Muthoni, and was herself injured while trying to intervene. In the chaos that followed, the suspect reportedly attempted to hurl their four-year-old child from a balcony, but Tracy managed to pull the child to safety as neighbors, alarmed by the screams, rushed in. Muthoni’s body was later taken to the mortuary, while her husband was admitted to the hospital under police guard.
The grieving family gathered at Juja Police Station, calling for justice as investigations into the killing continue.
