While Kenyans are struggling to make ends meet, a woman representative puts up a billboard worth millions of shillings

Angry Kenyans expressed their remorse on the blatant misuse of resources by political leaders in Kenya despite the hard-economic times biting on the pockets of the people.

The people of Kajiado woke up to a huge billboard put up by their Women Representative Mary Seneta to make known the meeting of the Inua Mama Political Women group in the County on September 6, 2019, at the multipurpose hall in Isinya.

While the people have to work a bit harder to pay school fees, have food on the table, pay the tax that in turn pays the salary and allowances for the legislatures and even purchase seeds and fertiliser for their farms, the leaders see nothing wrong in splashing thousands on a billboard, said a concerned Kenyan.

Another asked the women leaders to use cheaper means of communication to inform the people of their activities; and this includes WhatsApp groups, Facebook updates and cheap radio advertisements that take less than 30 seconds.

Inua Mama has held similar meetings in Meru, Laikipia, Nairobi, Garissa, Tana River, Nyeri, and Kirinyaga. Among the key political leaders affiliated to the group are Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Kandara MP Susan Kihika, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, Laikipia Women Representative Cate Waruguru, and Kirinyaga Women Representative Wangui Ngirici.
