The Senate Majority Whip has termed as time wasted months of work done by the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) team.
Speaking in Isinya, Kajiado County during the Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa meeting, Senator Susan Kihika said that Kenyans were confused and did not understand the work by the BBI team.
“Some Kenyans have nicknamed the BBI as BlueBand Initiative, Beba Baba Ikulu, Bad Blood Initiative because they do not understand its role even after it went around the country holding sittings,” said Senator Kihika.
She said that it was unfortunate that the team was led by two Senators, Yusuf Haji, and Amos Wako, who have served in high offices in the country but have nothing substantial to show to Kenyans.
Senator Wako was the Attorney General of Kenya and Senator Haji started his career as a District Commissioner (then) and even served as a Minister of Defence.
“The BBI report is questionable because the team was holding talks in big hotels and calling people by invitation to give their views,” said Senator Kihika.
She urged Kenyans to reject the BBI report and any change to the constitution aimed at benefiting a few people at the expense of Kenyans.
“Reject the BBI early in the morning for we should not change the constitution because of four people who reject the election results after every election,” said Senator Kihika.
