Not known to mince her words, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has shot straight from the hip and squarely blamed disgruntled Jubilee party members for their current plight.
The rebel members are facing ouster from crucial Parliamentary committees and house leadership positions.
They include Senate Deputy Speaker Kindiki Kithure, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen (out), Majority Whip Susan Kihika (out), Nominated Sen Millicent Omanga, Sen Nderitu Kinyua, and MP Kimani Ichungwah among others.
“We (party members) read the party of code of conduct, but some members have blatantly disobeyed the contents of the code,” said Gov Waiguru.
She directed the disgruntled members to read the code again and internalize, then maybe they will see their errors.
She cautioned members against the open abuse to the party leader that had become the norm but unacceptable.
She said that the President had been very patient with the rebellious members, and warned them severally against their behaviour, but they chose to be hard-headed.
